CSN Philly Has Difficulties Differentiating Between Ryan Howard's Twin Brother And Leonard Weaver
For those late to the party, on the same day that Roy Halladay officially joined the Phillies, a little thing known as the Sixers hosting LeBron, Shaq and the Cavs was occuring. And if you're the Doc, then what better way to spend your official night at the Phillie watching the Sixers completely collapse at the end when leading one of the best teams in the NBA.
However, Halladay was not the only Philly sports player at the game. There was a whole pantheon of players there including Ryan Howard (with his twin brother Corey) of the Phillies, DeSean Jackson and Leonard Weaver of the Eagles, and Mike Richards and Ray Emery of the Flyers along with semi-useless Flyers Dan Carcillo and Riley Cote.
During the game, the camera crews decided to pan to Ryan Howard and his brother, and while they correctly identified the Phillies slugger, they had a problem with or 2 with his brother.
Fail.
And before someone says something, I never said that Ryan and Corey were identical twins, they are fraternal and while there is a tad of a resemblance with Church Van, that is definitely Corey Howard. Besides, why one earth would Ryan Howard be sitting next to a recently acquainted Eagles fullback from Seattle in Leonard Weaver who he's probably never met before this year when he could be with his brother who was also at the game?
So so random.

Welcome To The Philadelphia Phillies, Harry Leroy Halladay III
Roy Fucking Halladay is a Fucking Philadelphia Phillie. Fuck yeah.
Fuck yeah.
And fuck the Mets, while you're at it. If they thought Cliff Lee was a bitch, wait until they go face to face with Doc.

Your Week 15 NFL Schedule (UPDATED)
I am just a few days away from my winter break, so the next time I will be at the live blogs in full will be conference championship Sunday. That being said, I do hope to find a slot or 2 of non-Eagles game where I can come on and chat with you guys about the games and what not.
And seeing as I have NFL-Network, Sunday Ticket and their accompanying RedZone Channel there is no need to bold any games, as frankly, I can watch them all if I want to. ;-)
So here ya go, here is your Week 15 NFL announcing schedule complete with another rousing rendition ofDick Stockton Tony Siragusa doing an Eagles game and a Fox doubleheader.
Thursday Night Football

It should be a fun week of football and if I have a chance I will stop by and say hello and yap with y'all, if not, then I'll be sure to post my thoughts on the Eagles games here, because after all, you guys can't live unless you read my opinion on Eagles games, right?

Roy Halladay Is Not A Fan Of Your Persistent Questioning, Jeff Skervesky
Roy Halladay has gotten his unofficial official welcoming to Philadelphia. What's that, you ask? He was ambushed by a 6ABC reporter who was determined to get all of the tough answers out of Doc as he was hopping into his car. Only one problem, the announcement was not exactly official yet (and still isn't) so Roy can't answer said questions. The result: one awkwardly hilarious interview. Check it out for yourself.
Too funny! Like I said, the deal is not official yet (and at the time he had not even taken the physical that he ultimately ended up passing) so he can't anything. But that little fact was not going to prevent Jeff Skervesky from trying to get the answers that he probably does not even care to know. After all, how else do you expect him to answer "are you excited to join the Phillies?", by saying, "No, I hate it here and I hate these people. This is the worst day of my life."?
Welcome to Philadelphia, Doc!

Your College Football Bowl And BCS Game Announcers
We finally have all of the information needed to put together a full and complete list of the bowl games and their announcers. With the exception of the sideline reporters for the BCS games (and who gives a shit about sideline reporters), we know where everyone will be and what games they will be doing. If you're a Penn State fan, you'll be happy to know that former PSU star Todd Blackledge will be on the mic analyzing in Orlando for the Capital One Bowl which will feature Penn State (WE ARE!!!) taking on LSU (WHAT ARE THEY THINKING? MY GOSH!). But I'm getting ahead of myself, we will start this year with the epic New Mexico Bowl! Okay, so Fresno State and Wyoming isn't exactly epic, but you get my point. Then again, some of the scenery you get during that game is beautiful.....
Okay, JFein, enough. 2009-2010 college football bowl schedule. Are you ready? LET'S GO! (all times eastern)

BCS National Championship Game: Alabama vs. Texas 8:00 (ABC - Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit, SR: Lisa Salters and Tom Rinaldi)
While there are some throwaway games, there are certainly some interesting ones up there as well. And once again, it figures that Pammy gets the worst and most useless bowl game that there is. She just can't catch a break, now can she?
Do take note though of that AutoZone LIberty Bowl as that will be the last football game ever called by the great Ron Franklin. Too bad ECU had to ruin it by beating Houston in the C-USA title game, as Houston vs. Arkansas would have been awesome. But ECU may not be such a bad game either. We'll see.
To a great career, Ron Franklin, and to learning your lesson about making slightly suggestive and rude comments to Holly Rowe.

This Is A Pitcher We Got In Addition To Halladay
If you've been reading and following my tweets, you've heard me throw around a prospect that we are (likely pending any surprise last second changes) getting from the Mariners, Phillippe Aumont.
Granted, he is a work in progress and is not as close as majors ready as Kyle Drabek is, but he was good enough (and/or just available) to represent Canada in the World Baseball Classic in March of this year. Well, he got a chance to actually pitch in the WBC and in one inning, he faced in consecutive order David Wright, Kevin Youkilis, and Curtis Granderson. The following is the last pitch of each of the at bats.
A weak liner to short by Wright, a strike out of Youk, and a strike out of Curtis Granderson.
Yeah, we got this guy in addition to the best pitcher in baseball. I may love him already.
Granted like I said, from everything I've read he still has a ways to go before he is big league ready, but if he can handle his control problems and work his way up the farm system, the potential his there as he is huge, as an excellent mid to upper 90s fastball, and folks, breaking balls don't get any more filthier than that.
In a year or 2, I would not be surprised if he is the guy that ultimately ends up replacing Brad Lidge.
